Danny Kaye

"He is so stinkin' perfect, I love him! He's gentle yet playful, cautious yet EXTREMELY social! He wants to be touched at all times  and has developed his favorite "spots" already. Not a single incidence of chewing something he's not supposed to (because I monitor him constantly), and NO ACCIDENTS [yet]. Earlier this morning, he even woke up from a nap and went to sit by the door! Sure enough, I looked at the clock and he was telling me it was time to go out! Sooooo smart! He's starting to respond to his name a little more and seems to be more comfortable here. I love him! Thank you, thank you!" Emily

9 weeks

Danny is doing so well! I can't believe what a smart ten-week-old he is! He knows "sit," and "come." He's also working on "lay down," and "leave it."  Haven't had an accident since the first week, and he now cries when he has to go so I trust him in the house! It's great! He starts puppy headstart on Saturday and is going to love it! He looooooves other dogs so much, I almost feel guilty for not having a brother/sister for him! He really loves kids as well, so I'm sure to invite the neighbor kids over to play with him.  He is SOOOO SMART and gentle! His teeth are still very sharp, but he's definitely learning how to play without hurting. We go on daily walks and he does really well on the leash! Doesn't pull!

10 weeks

Hi Paula!

Danny Kaye is getting so big! Last I checked, he's 23 lbs. He is a rockstar at obedience school. He's doing well on potty training, and knows "sit," "down," "shake," "come," and "stay." He is very social. He loves kids and dogs!  Despite his incredible friendliness though, he's VERY calm and docile! I am complimented almost daily on how calm and sweet he is. We exercise daily, but it doesn't take long before he's ready for a three hour nap. (Very nice for me as I don't get anything done when he's awake!)

Thanks for a great puppy! I can't imagine life without him! Here's a picture! (As I said, getting big!)

16 weeks old today! Danny Kaye was weighed at the vet this morning and is 29.5 lbs! I'd be SOOOO curious to hear how much his siblings weigh! How much does your Henry weigh?

I love him more and more every day. He is a miracle dog! The sweetest, more calm puppy ever. No accidents, no chewing. He learned "shake" last week and now wants to shake everyone's hand.  I leave socks on the floor all the time and he knows they're not his. He did really well with the trick-or-treaters last night.  He's so calm and gentle with little children!  I also had a little boy with autism at my house and he gave him extra affection.  I think he'll make an excellent therapy dog someday. :)

Good morning Paula!

5 months old today! I can't believe how quickly he's growing! Here are some pictures for you. Danny is just as perfect as he was the day I got him! He's get more and more spunky and friendly as he grows. His favorite pastimes are: eating (food, dirt, and sticks), playing fetch with his favorite ball, organizing his toys (he likes to take all of his toys out of the designated basket and sprinkle them on his bed. It's quite funny), playing with other dogs, and following me around. I love him so much. He makes my life complete!
